A Piece of History
Commissioned by the esteemed Nightingale Hospital, London, this triptych was created to honour a building of profound historical service. Rendered using fine art ink pens on paper, each stroke was deliberate, each detail deeply considered.
The process began with architectural outlines, gradually layered with sketching techniques to evoke texture, depth, and quiet monumentality. Every façade, window, and structural nuance was studied and sketched to honour the building’s legacy and its enduring role in healing and care.
Printed at A0 scale on the finest Hahnemühle photo rag, the triptych was installed to create a commanding presence - inviting reflection and reverence within the space.
It was a privilege to translate this story into form, and a true honour to collaborate with Nightingale Hospital London.
The process was marked by thoughtful dialogue, mutual respect, and a shared commitment to meaningful storytelling through art.
